OER Project

The OER Project is a non-profit initiative that provides free, standards-aligned social studies and history curricula for middle and high school students. Created by educators and historians, it offers comprehensive, customizable courses including Big History, World History, and Climate Project. 

All teaching materials—including leveled articles, videos, and activities—are free to use and adapt. The courses focus heavily on critical thinking, asking "big questions," and developing analytical skills.  The platform includes robust LMS integration, embedded learning supports, and an active teacher community for professional development
