The Executive Board of OCSS, elected by the organization's general membership, works to research, craft, and publish its position on issues pertaining to the teaching and learning of social studies in grades Pk-12 in Ohio classrooms and communities. These position statements aim to provide educators and leaders guidance when constructing curriculum and implementing instruction.
