OCSS celebrates excellence in social studies teaching and leadership across the state. During our annual conference, we recognize members with Teacher-of-the-Year awards in elementary and secondary (middle/high school) categories. Additionally, we recognize the efforts of outstanding pre-service teachers, nominated by their method's professors. There is also an award for Social Studies Leader, recognizing a contributor from outside the classroom.
