Emerging Social Studies Leader Award

The Emerging Social Studies Teacher Award honors teachers within the first five years of teaching who demonstrate outstanding dedication, skill, intelligence, and caring in the practice of their art. Teacher nominees should be Ohio social studies educators within the first five years of their teaching career (must be currently employed as a classroom teacher). Nominees should exemplify excellence in the teaching of social studies skills and content, and their colleagues should recognize them as exceptional social studies practitioners. Winner receives a plaque, one day paid registration for the annual conference (the day the award is presented), $100.00 cash award, and publicity in their hometown newspaper. Self-nominations are both welcome and encouraged.
