Youth Civic Engagement Award
The Youth Civic Engagement Award honors a K-12 student, or, group of students, that demonstrate outstanding an outstanding commitment to engagement in social studies. Student(s) should be nominated by current Ohio Council for the Social Studies members currently teaching social studies in Ohio's schools. Nominees should exemplify excellence in the practice of civic engagement or action. Winners receive a framed certificate, one day paid registration for the annual conference (The day the award is presented), and publicity in their hometown newspaper.
