Ohio’s Learning Standards survey for review of the for social studies, science and financial literacy is now open
Educators statewide will help the Ohio Department of Education update Ohio’s Learning Standards in science, social studies and financial literacy, based on teacher and public comments the department is seeking through a survey that is now open to all Ohioans. After the survey closes, advisory committees of education association representatives will review all survey comments and determine where revisions are needed. Working groups of teachers then will write proposed standards revisions.
Ohio teachers have gained valuable experience with Ohio’s Learning Standards in the last few years. Now the Ohio Department of Education invites all Ohioans to review the social studies, science and financial literacy standards and give us their thoughts. Although general comments are welcome, specific comments about what could be improved and what should stay the same will be the most helpful. To make specific comments, please watch the video and select a content area to begin. The survey closes at midnight on Monday, Jan. 9. Click here for to access the standards review survey
